LaNelle has been in the Non-Profit profession over 28 years, working with organizations such as the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, New Concept Self Development Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Schools.
Most recently, LaNelle was one of the founding Directors for the Department of Black and Latino Male Achievement for Milwaukee Public Schools. Prior to that, LaNelle spent 14 years working with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee serving in roles as Executive Branch Director, Area Director and Senior Director of Programs.
LaNelle is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI with a Bachelor’s in Pre-Law/Criminology and a Master’s in Public Administration. He also is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University, African American Leadership Program.
LaNelle also serves as commissioner on the Fire and Police Commission, he serves on several community boards and committees. He is part of the inaugural City of Milwaukee Health Board, Milwaukee Succeeds Advisory Committee, Milwaukee’s Community Collaborative Committee, Our Next Generation Board Member, American Red Cross Board Member, PEARLS For Teen Girls Board Member and MKE Fellow Committee Member.
LaNelle’s most valued role that helped shape who he is today are husband, father, grandfather, son and mentor. LaNelle joined the board in 2017.
