John Dawson is an attorney who retired after practicing for 35 years with the Milwaukee law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP. John served as the Department Chair of Foley’s national litigation department from 1986 to 1994 and as the Managing Partner of Foley’s Milwaukee office from 1994 to 1999. When he retired in 2005, John was listed in TheBest Lawyers in America® in three practice areas: business litigation, First Amendment law and alternate dispute resolution. Currently, John is an adjunct professor at the Marquette University Law School.
John tutors in Our Next Generation’s Homework Club and has been a member of ONG’s Board of Directors for a number of years. He is committed to doing all that is possible to help expand the education and vocational horizons of the children who live in the urban areas served by Our Next Generation, continually motivated by the determination, joy, and perseverance of the youth who participate in ONG’s many programs.
