WISH LIST

Our Next Generation is in need of the following items to enhance our programs.

SUMMER WISH LIST:

• Balls (of all kinds), jump ropes and outdoor games
• HULA HOOPS
• Frisbees
• Bubbles (jumbo!) & sidewalk chalk
• Water (gallon jugs or bottles)
• Gift cards to local stores, including REI (http://www.rei.com/stores/60)
• Butterfly net and bug box
• Art supplies

ACADEMIC NEEDS:

• Age-appropriate books for girls and boys ages 6-18.  We stock our library and rotate the books out as gifts to children as incentives for reading, so we need new-to-us books throughout the year.
• Magazine subscriptions for program activities (Essence, O, teen magazines, outdoor magazines, etc.)
• School supplies and back-packs
• Educational games and puzzles for elementary and middle school aged children
• Recreation and sports equipment (jump ropes, hula hoops, balls, cones, etc.)
• ACT on-line practice test, includes on-line subscription for a student for one year with practice tests: $22/student
• ACT registration fee for students in The High School Connection: $43/test/student: $29/fee plus $14 for writing section

MEAL ESSENTIALS:

• Paper products for the after school meal program: paper plates, cups, plastic ware, napkins
• MILK for elementary school children to serve with after school meals: $10 for one full week
• Canned or boxed food for after school meals: macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables, canned tuna fish, peanut butter and jelly

INCENTIVE GIFTS:

• Incentive gifts (water bottles, pouches, key rings, journals, etc.) for good attendance and success in program areas (items welcome or gift cards to a variety store)
• Arts and crafts materials for program activities
• Tickets to cultural and sporting events in/near Milwaukee

• Greeting cards that can be used to thank volunteers, celebrate volunteers and children’s birthdays, etc.

OFFICE ESSENTIALS:

• Color laser printer
• Laptop computers
• Desktop computers for students in The High School Connection
• Overhead Projectors

MISC NEEDS:

• Bus transportation for field trips (1 bus with driver is needed a minimum of two times per month)
• Cell phones and cell service for staff that travel to schools in the afternoons
• Professional Audit
