MILWAUKEE (November 13, 2017) – Milwaukee Bucks guard Matthew Dellavedova has teamed up with Our Next Generation in Milwaukee to increase student interest in reading among middle school and elementary school youth through an incentivized ticket program. Media is invited to the tip-off of the program tomorrow at the Our Next Generation Neighborhood Center (3421 W. Lisbon Ave., Milwaukee) at 4 p.m.
Dellavedova’s ticket program will establish reading goals for the approximately 100 middle and elementary school youth at Our Next Generation. Students who meet and exceed those goals will be rewarded with a ticket to a Bucks games, transportation to the game, and a meal voucher for the game, courtesy of Dellavedova.
Dellavedova will be at tomorrow’s launch to speak with youth at Our Next Generation and answer questions from them. The program is a continuation of the relationship Dellavedova has established at Our Next Generation with his wife, Anna, who both have spent time at the facility in the past and are furthering that relationship with this ticket program. The Bucks are also getting involved with Our Next Generation by hosting students at the team’s front office every Thursday throughout the school year as part of Our next Generation’s “Outbound Mentoring Program.”
